To Kick-Off our All Ages Summer Reading program this year, The Farmington Libraries will host a Picnic and Celebration with entertainment and activities!  Our theme this year is Dragons, Dreams and Daring Deeds

Let’s move and groove together in the Library! We will read a fun book and do some dancing. We will meet in the Hoppin Gallery upstairs at the Barney. This is a drop in program.

Join the No Book Book Club where there's no assigned reading. This book club gives you the opportunity to make new friends and learn about many books in a one-hour meetup. 

Write a letter to your own personal dragons using calligraphy. This is a hands-on introduction to broad-edge calligraphy. We'll be given inspiration, handouts, and practice in this 90-minute program.

Come join us at the beautiful Farmington Land Trust location for Summer stories and activities. 

Join us at Barney Library to try your hand at Scrapbook Journaling. Scrapbook Journaling isn't a written journal, it's a book full of visual imagery and inspiration.

Stop by the Teen Space to Make! You can select an item to print on our 3D-printer, work on a Glowforge project with our available materials, or just do some low-tech crafting! 

Invent the Summer features weekly STEM challenges created by kids, for kids! Complete each challenge for a chance to win fabulous prizes!

Stop by the Teen Space to decorate your own rubber duck! We'll have fabric, paper, hot glue, and paint for you to make your dream rubber duck!

Learn how to crochet a cute cuddly dragon along with the Teen Librarian in this weekly series! We will learn some basics of crochet and then make the dragon in pieces each week.

Come to the library to get creative!  We'll pull out tons of art supplies for you to stop by and make something cool.

A shocking story of how this local Connecticut boy found pirate treasure! Come hear his story about his incredible findings!

This high-energy music and movement class will have us dancing and laughing!  We'll start with a story and then move to the music.

Get cozy, bring your own dinner and watch the classic Studio Ghibli film, Spirited Away (2001) in this After Hours program! Dessert is on us!
