The Farmington Libraries Children's Department is a hub of activity serving the educational, cultural, and recreational needs of the Farmington community and beyond for children ages birth through Grade 6, their caregivers, and individuals who work with children.
Kids Events
This Storytime weaves the development of language and listening skills into a fun-filled program of read-alouds, flannel board activities, music, movement, and rhymes. This session will focus on stories and songs from different cultures.

Priority registration for this program will be given to Farmington Library cardholders. A valid Farmington Library card number is required at the time of registration.
Those without a library card or a non-Farmington Library card number - please leave the Library Card space blank - you will be placed on a pending waitlist. As space becomes available, individuals will be automatically moved from the waitlist into the program in the order received.
Join us for a lively story and some fun dancing in the Hoppin Gallery at the Barney Library, 71 Main Street! This drop-in program is perfect for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers with a caregiver. No registration needed—just come ready to enjoy music, movement, and a great time together!
In Pint-Sized Picassos we share a story and explore a different art medium that will aim to focus on both early literacy and fine motor skills. Caregiver must accompany their child.
Registration Required; open to children ages 3-5.
