Learn how to crochet a cute cuddly dragon along with the Teen Librarian in this weekly series! We will learn some basics of crochet and then make the dragon in pieces each week.

Drop-In Craft Night!!  A variety of age appropriate crafts will be in our activity room for your child to make.  Please choose only 1 craft, while supplies last.

Come join an hour of fiber arts, and learn the basics of knitting. If you have access to your yarn and needles you're welcome to bring them with you. If not, we have plenty of yarn and needles that you may use!

Stop by the Teen Space to listen to an album, eat some snacks, and do a small craft!

Drop off new or gently used art supplies Monday, July 29 - Thursday, August 1 during the Barney Library open hours.  

This silhouette lantern fits right with our summer reading theme: Dragons, Dreams and Daring Deeds. Choose a dragon for more thrilling adventure or a fairy for a softer more whimsical feel, both are included in each kit.

Play with clay and make some fun clay mushroom magnets (or whatever other small clay creation you want!) in the Teen Space!

Put together a beautiful tealight holder that looks just like a real lantern! Customize it with shadows of fantasy creatures to make it your own.

Teens in Grades 7 to 12 can stop by the Barney Library to assemble their own De-Stress Kits. Get ready for the school year with supplies designed to reduce your stress. Need a mint? A fidget toy?

We will try our hands at painting this scene of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Great for beginners to painting! We will include a link to a short instructional video.

Join us for a special pop-up program (weather permitting!) We will be making Cyanotype Sun Prints at the Barney Library. Bring along some foliage, press flowers, buttons, or even film negatives.

Tick Tock! Make and decorate your own clock in the Teen Space with a vinyl record and a clock kit!

Cool off this afternoon and spend some time with dragons!  Discover your Dragon Name, then settle in for the movie How to Train Your Dragon, complete with popcorn & "dragon" snacks and some coloring pages.
