No assigned reading—just stories, fun, and creativity! Join Miss Amy at the Barney Library, 71 Main Street after school for a read-aloud and themed craft or activity for students in Grades K-4.

Join us in our MakerSpace for STEAM related fun! Get an introduction to our equipment like the 3D printer and Cricut while getting some hands-on experience.

In Pint-Sized Picassos we share a story and explore a different art medium that will aim to focus on both early literacy and fine motor skills. Caregiver must accompany their child.

Have fun getting to know the ABCs! This early literacy program focuses on teaching children the letters of the alphabet and their associated sounds through stories, crafts, and hands-on activities. 

In the 1940s, a small collection of local history materials owned by the Village Library was known as the “Farmington Collection,” stored in a closet off from the main desk of what is now the Barney Branch.

Rick Heinz will visit virtually to share his thoughts on writing fiction, as well as writing for TTRPGs and science fiction/fantasy worlds. Join us at the library to ask questions, hear about his experiences, and learn about his works. 

Terrific Twos is designed for the child who will be 24 months old at the start of the session. We will build early literacy skills through the use of books, rhymes, finger play and songs. 

In Bite Size Science we will share a story and complete an exciting experiment or project focusing on early science concepts!

Adaptive storytime will offer families of  neurodiverse children ages 4 -10 a slower-paced storytime in a small group setting.

Get ready to wiggle, read and explore! This storytime centers movement and sensory exploration to enhance learning outcomes for toddlers!

This program provides the opportunity for children to explore early learning math concepts by listening to books and participating in hands-on math activities.  

What does it mean "to form a more perfect union"? Since the Constitution was ratified in 1788, those words from the preamble have inspired generations of citizens to imagine what "a more perfect union" might look like and how we might achieve it.
