Get out of the heat and join us for a special Summer screening of Jungle Cruise (2021,rated PG-13) at the Barney Library.

Toddler Time is a 45-minute action-packed informal learning program for children ages 12 to 36 months. Toddlers and their caregivers will learn new songs, rhymes and finger-plays, share books, make new friends, and play.  

Let’s move and groove together at the Barney Library! We will read a fun book and do some dancing in the Hoppin Gallery. This is a drop in program, no registration required!

Join us in our MakerSpace for STEAM related fun! Get an introduction to our equipment like the 3D printer and Cricut while getting some hands-on experience.

Celebrate the season! Come for a special storytime and craft. Sing and dance, be prepared to get messy!

Join us for a hands-on terrarium workshop where creativity meets calm. In this guided session, you’ll create your own miniature garden using beautiful plants, natural materials, and your unique sense of design—no green thumb needed. 

Drop in and play outside at the Barney Library! Listen to some fun stories and then have a playtime with your friends on the playground. A great place to meet friends old and new!

At Silent Book Club, there's no assigned reading. All readers are welcome it's BYOBook (or browse the library shelves!). Settle in for an hour of silent, sustained reading. At the end of the hour, attendees can socialize—or not! 

Join Miss Shana for 30 minutes of books, finger plays and songs perfect for ages 0 to 24 month. This lapsit storytime is the perfect introduction to storytimes for babies and caregivers. 

Invent the Summer features weekly STEM challenges created by kids, for kids! Complete each challenge for a chance to win fabulous prizes!

Enjoy some relaxing coloring with a sweet cookie treat! We'll have markers, coloring pencils, and lots of coloring book options!

We'll be using air-dry clay to create and paint this jewelry dish that looks just like a monstera leaf. Perfect for our Rainforest Summer Reading theme!

Do you enjoy reading and talking about books? Come and share your passion with other book lovers! Books will be available for check out 2 weeks before event. We will read and discuss Keeper of the Lost Cities by Shannon Messenger.

Drop in for this freestyle craft afternoon--no instructions, no project. Join us in the Hoppin Gallery where we'll have available a variety of supplies. Bring a project you're already working on, or just let the creative juices flow.
