Drop-in program.

This high-energy music and movement class will have us dancing and laughing!  We'll start with a story and then move to the music.

Friends in Grades 7-12 can take advantage of their extra time after school and come relax, draw and snack on some sweet cookies! 

Drop in on the half day to craft and enjoy the afternoon in the Teen Space! 

Make your own snow globes! Arrange the beautiful miniature decorations inside the globes, add water and glitter, then seal it. When shaken, the "snow" swirls around your custom winter scene.

Join us for fun seasonal crafts that caregivers and their children can participate in together! This month we will be making some adorable sock snowmen to decorate for the winter season!
 

Join Sandra Yannone, Poet Laureate of Old Saybrook, for an afternoon bringing the Farmington Artists Circle’s exhibit Wonderland to the page. This ekphrastic workshop will showcase approaches to writing poetry about art.

Join us in our MakerSpace for STEAM related fun! Get an introduction to our equipment like the 3D printer and Cricut while getting some hands-on experience.

Registration Update:

Have fun getting to know the ABCs! This early literacy program focuses on teaching children the letters of the alphabet and their associated sounds through stories, crafts, and hands-on activities. 

Adaptive storytime will offer families of  neurodiverse children ages 4 -10 a slower-paced storytime in a small group setting.

Bring your creative sparkle to the Children's Department to make it magical for winter season! Drop in anytime between 3:00 PM and 5:00 PM to make a variety of festive winter crafts.

Do you love books, movies, music, or pop culture? Do you enjoy debating wild “what ifs” or sharing your hot takes with a crowd? Then it’s time to nerd out at our interactive presentation night!

Pumpernickel Puppets presents a lively adaption of Beatrix Potter's well-loved tale. Join adventurous, and naughty Peter Rabbit, who against his mother's wishes ventures into Mr.

Join us for a cozy bedtime storytime full of bears, songs, and stars! Wear your jammies, and bring your stuffies and blankets!

Transform your scraps into wearable art that says I love to quilt and sew! Join Sadie Metter and Meg Healy of Quilting Daily and Sew Daily to make mini quilt blocks that can be used to make accessories like earrings, necklaces, and charms.

Join Teen Librarian Lex and gab, chatter, blather, chit-chat, communicate, converse, and enjoy a cup of tea. Let’s talk about books, movies, anime, what you’re up to, what’s on your mind, and anything else! 

Celebrate the season with a night full of creativity, camaraderie, and holiday cheer at the Farmington Libraries! This hands-on event invites participants to form teams and construct their very own gingerbread houses.

Join us at the Farmington Library to make a "sweet" house for the Winter season. Supplies will be provided; registration is needed for each child separately.
