Carter Clayton has been playing competitive tournament chess for 7 years and has loved every minute of it. He helped organize the Webster Hill Elementary School chess club and tournaments. On Friday nights Carter can often be found in a study group with players rated over 2000. He is an avid online player with an all-time highest rating of 2200 on chess.com. He won the middle school chess championship for Connecticut in the 2018-2019 year.
