National Library Week, April 23-29
Most people know about the wealth of stories available at the library, from picture books and large print to audiobooks and ebooks. But there's so much more to the story of libraries.


We have a build up of Lost & Found items at the Barney Library. If you or your child think perhaps your item could be one of the many coats, sweatshirts or gloves we have accumulated, now is the perfect time to stop by and retrieve your item!

The Main Library will be open Sundays, 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM, January - March 2023 with some exceptions. Please check out the full list of dates below. We look forward to seeing you at the library!

If you participated in our Tiny Art Exhibit at the Barney Library, now is the time to come pick up your art work! We received so many wonderful compliments from visitors to the Tiny Art Exhibit and we thank everyone who participated.

September is Library Card Sign-up Month, when libraries nationwide join the American Library Association (ALA) to remind parents, caregivers, and students that signing up for a library card is the first step on the path to academic achievement and lifelong learning.

The Farmington Libraries is excited to announce a call for artist submissions for the two galleries available at the Farmington Libraries, the Jay Johnston Community Room located at the Main Library (6 Monteith Drive), and the Hoppin Gallery located at the Barney Library (71 Main Street).

Summer Saturday hours, 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM, begin Saturday, June 25 and run through Labor Day.
Stop into the Main Library and checkout the gardening display in the lobby.
While you're there pick up a Library Garden Bingo Card and complete the scavenger hunt of the garden. People who participate have a chance to win a packet of seeds!
