Library Card Design Contest

Make your mark on Farmington history!

The Farmington Libraries are looking for artwork inspired by our mission to empower people to LEARN · CONNECT · GROW and to serve as a catalyst for connection and growth, fostering the joy of reading, learning and discovery in the community. We’re calling on Farmington artists of ALL AGES to help us design our new library cards.

Guidelines:

  • The artist must be a Farmington Library cardholder.
  • All art submitted must be your original art. Please do not include copyrighted works or characters in your design. Art made with generative AI will not be accepted.
  • Submissions must stay within the dimensions included in the instructions below. By entering the contest, participants grant the library the right to use, reproduce, and publish their designs for promotional purposes.
  • Content must be appropriate for all ages and connect to our library mission.

One winner will be selected from each of the following age groups:

  • Kids (Ages 0-12)
  • Teens (Ages 13-17)
  • Adults (Ages 18+)

All entries must be submitted by 5:00 PM on January 12, 2026. Submissions will be judged by the library management team based on the design originality and how it reflects the library’s mission and vision. Winners will be announced on January 16, 2026. The winners will receive a copy of their design on a library card and a piece of library merch!

Technical:

  • Artists may submit one design each.
  • Artwork should be 2.125 x 3.375 inches. Digital or print (paper) artworks will be accepted. Digital artwork should be at least 300 DPI, and in JPEG, PNG, or TIFF format.
