Ahoy, mateys! Set sail for fun at our Pirate Storytime at the Barney Library, 71 Main Street, for children ages 0 to 5 and their caregivers.

Join Miss Shana or Miss Amy for 30 minutes of books, finger plays and songs perfect for ages 0 to 24 month. This lapsit storytime is the perfect introduction to storytimes for babies and caregivers. 

Come join us at the beautiful Farmington Land Trust location for a Storytime. We will meet in the small barn adjacent to the parking area.

Use the extra time after school to watch a Movie with friends in the Teen Space! We'll all watch a movie together to start the weekend off!

Drop in anytime between 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM and let your creativity shine! Kids are invited to design a variety of fall-themed crafts to decorate the children’s department and transform it into a colorful celebration of the season!

Families sign up to join us at the Barney Library to learn basic engineering and coding with Lego SPIKE Prime together! Work as a family to create amazing LEGO creations that come to life.

At each crafternoon program, tweens will work together to create a collaborative craft to be hung in the tween space. At this meeting tweens will work together to build a 3D paper pixel art wall hanging out of paper chains!

No assigned reading—just stories, fun, and creativity! Join Miss Amy at the Barney Library, 71 Main Street after school for a read-aloud and themed craft or activity for students in Grades K-4.

Local resident and retired educator, John Sherman, is bringing his love for one of our oldest board games – “The Game of Kings!” - to the Farmington Library.  Beginners through advanced are welcome.

Join us in our MakerSpace for STEAM related fun! Get an introduction to our equipment like the 3D printer and Cricut while getting some hands-on experience.

Art Journaling, sometimes called "Junk Journaling", is a form of recording your imagination, memories, thoughts, feelings, and more through a combination of visual art and creative writing.

Drop in to our Teens-only, no talking book club! Open to those in Grades 7-12

Join us for unstructured sensory play at the library! Get your wiggles out and enjoy an easy sensory activity at this drop in program. 

No registration required, first come, first serve and open to children ages 2-8!
