Week Calendar

This program offers a fun way to learn simple scientific concepts and conduct experiments. Activity bags with instructions for each program will be available for pick up at the Main Library children’s desk.

For caregivers of babies ages 0 to 12 months. Registration Required; register once for the whole session. 

Ages 2 to 5 with caregiver. Registration Required – please note that each class will have its own individual registration.

For two-year-olds and their caregivers. Registration Required. 

Let’s move and groove together in the Library! We will read a fun book and do some dancing. Register to come at 10:00 or 11:00 am. Class size is limited and we will meet in the Gallery upstairs at the Barney.

 Each week we will share a story and explore a different art medium that will aim to focus on both early literacy and fine motor skills.  Class size is limited and we will be meeting in the Children’s Program Room.

Join Miss Amy for a special story time and a craft! This program will be indoors and upstairs in the Hoppin Gallery. Registration required. Ages 2-5

For three-year-olds and their caregivers. Registration Required; registering for one class registers you for the session.

Come meet other homeschool families and discuss what the library can do for you. There will be a tour of our building and all it has to offer.

David Eberly is a renowned pianist in the Greater Hartford area. He has an amazing story as someone blind since birth who started playing piano by ear around age three.

For children in grades K – 3. Registration Required. 

Would you like to learn to knit?  Join us Wednesday evenings at 5:30.  Miss Paula will provide yarn and needles

For children in grades 4-6. Registration Required. 

For children ages 5-12. Registration Required. 

Join Miss Patti for a calming story time and movement class designed to help you unwind at the end of a busy day.  This class explores breathing and relaxation techniques like yoga and guided imagery to calm your mind and body.
