The Connecticut Paid Leave Authority (CTPL) is a quasi-public state agency established to administer and oversee the Connecticut Paid Leave program following the passage of enabling legislation in 2019.

This high-energy music and movement class will have us dancing and laughing!  We'll start with a story and then move to the music.

Come play with some toys at the Barney Library. Open play time with our toys! Drop in, no registration required perfect for ages 1-5.

Come make your very own No-Sew Sock Bunny to take home!

It's the weekend! Time to relax, unwind, and have fun! 

This storytime weaves the development of language and listening skills into a fun-filled program of read-alouds, flannel board activities, music, movement, and rhymes.  

No assigned reading—just stories, fun, and creativity! Join Miss Amy at the Barney Library, 71 Main Street after school for a read-aloud and themed craft or activity for students in Grades K-4.

Let’s move and groove together at the Barney Library! We will read a fun book and do some dancing in the Hoppin Gallery. This is a drop in program, no registration required!

Have fun getting to know the ABCs! This early literacy program focuses on teaching children the letters of the alphabet and their associated sounds through stories, crafts, and hands-on activities. 

Join us in the Jay Johnston Community Room for a Mini Paint Night! 

Everyone will have the chance to create their own acrylic paint creation on a small canvas! Paint along with the group, or make your own masterpiece! 

Terrific Twos is designed for the child who will be 24 months old at the start of the session. We will build early literacy skills through repetition and the use of books, rhymes, play and songs. 

In Bite Size Science we will share a story and complete an exciting experiment or project focusing on early science concepts!

This one’s for the Disney adults—the ones who can name every princess, argue about the best Pixar movie, and know that Disney trivia goes way beyond the basics.

Adaptive storytime will offer families of neurodiverse* children ages 3 -10 an engaging storytime in a small group setting.
