Event Details

National Take Your Child to the Library Day is going to the dogs!  Stop by the library to enjoy these special events:

Main Library:

  • We'll have four beautiful certified therapy dogs visiting our space from 9:30-11:30 and 2:00-4:00.  Call the library to schedule your special one-on-one time to snuggle and read with a special pup.  Register by calling 860-673-6791.
  • Come pick up a take home doggy craft (while supplies last)
  • Doggie scavenger hunt all day
  • The Spinning Wheel will be out all day - stop by, spin the wheel, and collect a prize! (while supplies last.)

Barney Library:

  • Stop by any time for a doggie-themed activity (while supplies last.)
  • Come watch a dog movie!  Bring a blanket and your favorite stuffed friend at 1:30 PM and snuggle up to watch a dog-themed movie.
