Read Across America Day

Monday, March 2 is National Read Across America Day, a day to celebrate our favorite activity! The day was established by the National Education Association (NEA) in 1998 to help get kids excited about reading.  On National Read Across America Day, students, teachers, parents, and community members are invited to come together to read books and celebrate the joy of reading.

Stop into the Barney Library, 71 Main Street on Monday, March 2 during our open hours to read a book and get a free bookmark (while supplies last). We'll also have assorted Read Across America/Dr. Seuss Day activity sheets and stickers while supplies last!
