Stop into the Main Library and checkout the gardening display in the lobby.
While you're there pick up a Library Garden Bingo Card and complete the scavenger hunt of the garden. People who participate have a chance to win a packet of seeds!

The Friends of the Farmington Libraries are holding a special ONE DAY book sale of fiction only for kids and adults on Saturday, June 11 from 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM in the Jay Johnston Community Room.

First sponsored in 1958, National Library Week is a national observance sponsored by the American Library Association and libraries of all types across the country each April.

To celebrate National Library Week during April, the Passport to Connecticut Libraries Program invites you to visit all of the participating Connecticut public libraries. Take the opportunity to explore each library's architecture, ambiance and collection.

If you've stopped by the Main Library and noticed the Farmington Bicentennial Quilt is no longer in the stairwell, don't fret! The quilt has relocated to the hall leading to the Jay Johnston Community Room.

The Main Library now has Laptops to Go! You can check out a laptop for a 3 day loan and it comes loaded with links to our eResources available with your Farmington library card.




The Main Library will be open Sundays, 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM, January - April 2022 with some exceptions. Please check out the full list of dates below. We look forward to seeing you at the library!

A few programs will be cancelled, postponed or moved to virtual - keep an eye on our Event Calendar and your inbox for the latest changes.

Starting January 1st, Ancestry Library Edition access will no longer be available from home. You can access it through a library computer or if you are connected to the wifi at the Main or Barney Branch Library.
