Drop-in program.

This high-energy music and movement class will have us dancing and laughing!  We'll start with a story and then move to the music.

Let’s move and groove together in the Library! We will read a fun book and do some dancing. We will meet in the Hoppin Gallery upstairs at the Barney. This is a drop in program.

Visit our gift-making stations to create handmade gifts for all occasions.  Bring an empty box with you to carry your gifts home in. 

Homeschoolers ages 7-9 are invited to discuss 2025 CT Elementary Nutmeg Book Award Nominees each month with the Farmington Libraries and Avon Free Public Library!  Each library will alternate months hosting the discussion.

Homeschoolers ages 9-12 are invited to discuss 2025 CT Intermediate Nutmeg Book Award Nominees each month with the Farmington Libraries and Avon Free Public Library!  Each library will alternate months hosting the discussion.

Ages 4 – 5, for the child alone (caregivers must stay in the Kids’ Place). Registration required. Please note that you only need to register once for all 23 classes.  

Join us at the Barney Library for a magical winter storytime with stories, songs and a simple craft. We're celebrating the season of lights! Perfect for toddlers and preschoolers. Registration required.

The Afterschool Art Club is a block of time set aside to come in and work on an art project that drives your creativity. Assorted supplies available.
