Week Calendar

Ages 12 - 23 months with a caregiver. A fun-filled half-hour featuring books, fingerplays, and lots of music and movement.

Please note there is no class 10/14 and 11/11 as the library is closed.

Terrific Twos is designed for the child who will be 24 months old at the start of the session. We will build early literacy skills through the use of books, rhymes, finger play and songs. 

In Bite Size Science we will share a story and complete an exciting experiment or project focusing on early science concepts.

(Please note there is a separate registration for each Bite Size Science class.)

For caregivers of babies ages 0 to 12 months. Registration required; registering for one class registers you for the whole session.  

Drop-in program.

This high-energy music and movement class will have us dancing and laughing!  We'll start with a story and then move to the music.

For three-year-olds and their caregivers. Registration Required; registering for one class registers you for the whole session. 

Let’s move and groove together in the Library! We will read a fun book and do some dancing. We will meet in the Hoppin Gallery upstairs at the Barney. This is a drop in program.

In this program children ages 3-5 will have the opportunity to explore and create music using their voices, bodies, and percussion instruments. Each week we will learn about music through stories, songs, and crafts.

It’s National Fire Prevention week and we’re celebrating with a special storytime about firefighters and their amazing vehicles.

Celebrate the season! Come for a special storytime and craft. Sing and dance, be prepared to get messy!

In Pint-Sized Picassos we share a story and explore a different art medium that will aim to focus on both early literacy and fine motor skills. Caregiver must accompany their child.

Ages 4-5, for the child alone (caregivers must stay in the Kids’ Place). Registration required; register once for entire session. 

The Afterschool Art Club is a block of time set aside to come in and work on an art project that drives your creativity. Assorted supplies available.

Local resident and retired educator, John Sherman, is bringing his love for one of our oldest board games – “The Game of Kings!” - to the Farmington Library.  Beginners through advanced are welcome.

Come and enjoy a story, games, and rotating around to different S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) stations.
