A fun-filled half hour for child and caregiver featuring books, fingerplays, and lots of music.

For three-year-olds and their caregivers. Registration Required; registering for one class registers you for the whole session. 

Let’s move and groove together in the Library! We will read a fun book and do some dancing. We will meet in the Gallery upstairs at the Barney. This is a drop in program.

In Bite Size Science we will share a story and complete an exciting experiment or project focusing on early science concepts.

Ages 2.5 - 3 and their caregivers. Registration required; register once for the 7-week session. 

In Pint-Sized Picassos we share a story and explore a different art medium that will aim to focus on both early literacy and fine motor skills. Caregiver must accompany their child.

Ages 3-6. Each week we’ll watch a picture book come to life on our projector screen, followed by coloring or craft time!

Farmington High School Chamber Orchestra will be performing works by Samuel Coleridge-Taylor, William Grant Still, Antonin Dvorák, Franz Schubert, and Swan Hennesy.

"The Library ROCKS!"  Dancy Party for kids and families is a rockin' good time.  The lights will be dimmed, the party lights will be on, and we'll be dancing to party music to celebrate!  A great way to get that energy out!

Ages 5-10. Join Miss Amy at Barney to read a book and do a craft.  

Local resident and retired educator, John Sherman, is bringing his love for one of our oldest board games – “The Game of Kings!” - to the Farmington Library.  Beginners through advanced are welcome. Check - now it's your move!

Learn to Knit.  This beginner program is best suited for kids ages 7-12.  We will provide needles and yarn to begin.  Let's knit a project together!
