For two-year-olds and their caregivers. Registration required; register once for the 6-week session. 

For caregivers of babies ages 0 to 12 months. Registration required; registering for one class registers you for the 5-week session.  

A fun-filled half hour for child and caregiver featuring books, fingerplays, and lots of music.

Drop-in program.

This high-energy music and movement class will have us dancing and laughing!  We'll start with a story and then move to the music.

Come play with some toys at the Barney library. Open play time with our toys! Drop in, no registration required. Ages 1-5

Drop by the Barney Library on September 25 for a Puzzle Palooza.  We will have a variety of jigsaw puzzles set up in the Hoppin Gallery, you can drop in at any time between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM to work on a puzzle.

For three-year-olds and their caregivers. Registration Required; registering for one class registers you for the whole 5-class session. 

Let’s move and groove together in the Library! We will read a fun book and do some dancing. We will meet in the Gallery upstairs at the Barney. This is a drop in program.

Each week we will share a story and then complete an exciting experiment or project focusing on early science concepts.

Ages 2.5 - 3 and their caregivers. Registration required; register once for the 6-week session. 

In Pint-Sized Picassos we share a story and explore a different art medium that will aim to focus on both early literacy and fine motor skills. Caregiver must accompany their child.

Each week we’ll read a picture book then watch that book come to life as we play the picture book movie on our screen, followed by coloring time!

Drop-in event.

Enjoy a story that we will then weave into our art project - Tortoise & Hare marionette puppets!

We owe a lot to the bees!  Learn about these amazing winged insects, explore an actual beehive (minus the bees!), try on a special pair of glasses to see how incredible their compound eyes are, sample assorted honeys made with different flowe

Take our Legos and your imagination and what will you build? Creations will be on display for 2 weeks after the program. Duplos available for younger builders. 

Ages 4 – 5, for the child alone. Registration Required. Please note that you only need to register once for all 26 weeks. 

Do you love Daniel Tiger?  Activities, games, and stories galore will make for a fun Daniel Tiger party with emphasis on kindness, respect, and sharing all while having lots of fun.

Join the Tween No Book Book Club where there's no assigned reading. This book club gives you the opportunity to make new friends and enjoy a snack as we chat about books!

Learn to Knit.  This beginner program is best suited for kids ages 7-12.  We will provide needles and yarn to begin.  Let's knit a project together!

Grades 1-3. Registration required.

We have teamed up with The Farmington High School Robotics Team for an engaging evening to teach basic S.T.E.A.M principles, all while having fun!
