For two-year-olds and their caregivers. Registration required; register once for the 6-week session. 

For caregivers of babies ages 0 to 12 months. Registration required; registering for one class registers you for the 5-week session.  

Come play at Barney library. Time for caregivers and children to form friendships! Parents can chat while children play in the Gallery turned playroom! Drop in for a few minutes or stay the whole time. No registration required. 

A fun-filled half hour for child and caregiver featuring books, fingerplays, and lots of music. 

Registration required; register once for the whole session. 

Drop-in program.

This high-energy music and movement class will have us dancing and laughing!  We'll start with a story and then move to the music.

Speak to your child in the language you know best!  Connect with other families who speak Spanish as you read, play, and socialize.

Ages 0-5 with caregiver.  No registration is required.

Please call the Library at 860-673-6791 to schedule your very own one-on-one time with the new dog Flynn.  Bring your own book or choose one of ours to snuggle and read.

For three-year-olds and their caregivers. Registration Required; registering for one class registers you for the whole 5-class session. 

Let’s move and groove together in the Library! We will read a fun book and do some dancing. We will meet in the Gallery upstairs at the Barney. This is a drop in program.

Each week we will share a story and then complete an exciting experiment or project focusing on early science concepts.

Ages 2.5 - 3 and their caregivers. Registration required; register once for the 6-week session. 

In Pint-Sized Picassos we share a story and explore a different art medium that will aim to focus on both early literacy and fine motor skills. Caregiver must accompany their child.

Each week we’ll read a picture book then watch that book come to life as we play the picture book movie on our screen, followed by coloring time!

Ages 4 – 5, for the child alone. Registration Required. Please note that you only need to register once for all 26 weeks. 

Girl Scout Troop 66309 will be in the Lobby at the Farmington Library to provide visitors with information on Braille, introduce the Braille books that they purchased for the children's collection, and have a bookmark activity.  All are

Ages 5-10. Join Miss Amy at Barney to read a book and do a craft.  

Learn to Knit.  This beginner program is best suited for kids ages 7-12.  We will provide needles and yarn to begin.  Let's knit a project together!
