Let’s move and groove together at the Barney Library! We will read a fun book and do some dancing in the Hoppin Gallery. This is a drop in program, no registration required!

Drop in and play outside at the Barney Library! Listen to some fun stories and then have a playtime with your friends on the playground. A great place to meet friends old and new!

Join Miss Shana for 30 minutes of books, finger plays and songs perfect for ages 0 to 24 month. This lapsit storytime is the perfect introduction to storytimes for babies and caregivers. 

Do you enjoy reading and talking about books? Come and share your passion with other book lovers! Books will be available for check out 2 weeks before event. We will read and discuss Keeper of the Lost Cities by Shannon Messenger.

Come craft with us in the Children's Department! Each project features at least one thing that was made in our MakerSpace upstairs.

BUBBLES BUBBLES BUBBLES!  Join us outside the Barney Library for a special bubble storytime. Read some bubble books, make your own bubble wand, and create lots of bubbles big and small!

Bring your team of 2 or 3 or come on your own to participate in a cupcake decorating challenge at the Barney Library! Decorate your cupcakes based on 3 separate challenges! Will your cupcake win the round?

This is not your ordinary juggling show! With a trunk full of props and a looping machine, Jester Jim makes kids and adults alike laugh out loud as he performs his amazing beatbox intro and wild juggling and balance antics.  

Come make your own rain stick and then use it to play along to some fun jungle tunes!

Families sign up to join us at the Barney Library to learn basic engineering and coding with Lego SPIKE Prime together! Work as a family to create amazing LEGO creations that come to life.
