How to Read Your Search Results
Once you click on the title of the item you want, you are taken to the item location screen. It tells you:
- bibliographic information (title, author, etc)
- actions you may take (place hold, add to list, add to cart, like on Facebook or Tweet)
- title notes that describe the book
- other editions of the same title
- reviews of title from Amazon.com
- Item location (where the item is in the libary)

Scrolling down to the bottom of the page shows you where the item is located in the library.
There are a few important areas to look at when trying to determine where your item is located.
- check to see if there is any specific location noted in the location field.
- see what part of the collection the item is from.
- note the call number of the item listed in front of the "browse shelf" hyperlink
- note the status.
While the library may own the item, it may not be "available" or on the shelf for you to checkout. If this is the case, then you may try to request it using your library card number and PIN.
The "Browse Shelf" feature is new to the library catalog. By clicking on the browse shelf link next to an items call number, you will be able to quickly see what other items are located next to the item you are looking for. This can come in handy if you are interested in a specific topic or an author and would like to see what else the library might own quickly.
Back to TopRequesting an item is easy. Search the catalog for the item you want. Once you are on the page that gives you the items location and call number (see above) you will have the option to request the item by clicking the "Place Hold" link located on the right side of the screen.

If you aren't already logged into your library account, you will be taken to the log in screen. If you are logged in you will be taken to a screen where you will need to confirm your request.
