DVDs are sparated into several categories in our collection. The Fast View and Classic Movie categories are located in the lobby. All other movie categories are located on the 2nd floor at the Main Library and the lobby at the Barney Library.
Fast Views are the hottest movies and located in the lobby of each building. They are checked out overnight, holds are not allowed, and are nonrenewable.
New Movies are marked with a new sticker and checked out for 3 days. List here.
The remainder of our collections is classified into the following categories with 1-week loan periods on the second floor:
- Classic Movies are pre-1960 movies located in the lobby.
- TV Series are 2 weeks loans. It contains DVDs and VHS formats.
- Family Movies are all rated G or PG.
- Foreign Films are films in other languages subtitled in English. The original language is typed on the spine of the film.
- Action Films
- Comedy Films
- Drama Films
- Nonfiction DVDs and Documentaries are in Dewey Decimal order across from the New Nonfiction.
- Horror Films
- Animé Films
- Teen Films are scattered among all categories marked with an orange sticker on the spine.
