Local History Presentation - Lighthouse Keeper with Farmington Roots!

As a genealogist and volunteer at the St. Simons Island, Georgia Historical Society, Linda was asked to research Isaac Peckham, a Lighthouse Keeper from 1883-1893. With little to go on, it  took a year of research to discover that Isaac and his wife, and Assistant Lighthouse keeper, had fascinating stories to tell. You will hear how Linda found Isaac in Connecticut, what brought him to Georgia, his time in the Indian and Civil War and how he met his wife, Dora; whose life was equally compelling.
